Jason Plato has revealed what looks to be the "big announcement" he teased fans with earlier this month: a new range of limited-edition merchandise.
Posting on X, Plato wrote:
"Ladies and Gentleman, can I firstly say .. thank you all again for your continued support and lovely messages that I receive daily, after the greatest achievement of my life was taken away from me. Rather than crowd fund I have created a limited number of merch items. it would be ace if you could give me your support. Check this out…"
The post links to shop.plato.racing, where the opening range, labelled "Team Plato Supporters Exclusive Merch Drop 1," features a T-shirt (£30), a cap (£30) and a watch made with OMOLOGATO (£110), all carrying Plato's "Team P" logo. The "Drop 1" name suggests more could follow but nothing further has been confirmed.

Plato didn't spell out what he meant by "the greatest achievement of my life" being "taken away," though it reads as a reference to his removal from Plato Racing (now competing as CPRL), the team he founded, which he addressed in his own statement on 23 August. That statement named his "26-year driving career" and building "a brand-new BTCC team from nothing" among the achievements he was proudest of.
It follows two earlier posts since that departure in which Plato thanked fans and teased news to come, on 16 September ("news coming soon") and 21 September ("big announcement within days").
BTCC Hub will report any further update as soon as one is confirmed.
